Global Militia is a website that makes a general ranking of the militaries of the world. A total of 24 factors are considered in this ranking. All these factors are the main factors to identify the position or the power of a country. The numbers of the military personnel, defense budget, vehicles, air crafts, naval crafts and other military armored vehicles are considered. Global Militia makes this ranking on a general basis. That means, too much factors are not considered in making this ranking. The basic things, which are unavoidable in making the ranking are presented in this website.

and a population of 2.095 million.

According to it's military capabilities it holds the 
100th position in  Global Militia ranking.




Military Status

The Slovenian Military was not a professional Military before 2004. After 1993 the Slovenian military was based on a mandatory military service with conscripts receiving 6-7 months of training. In 2003 this conscription was totally dissolved by the government and by July 2004 the Slovenian military turned into a professional military. At present, there are 7300 active personnel and 2000 reserved personnel which decreased from 55,000 conscripts. The present condition of the Slovenian military is not so developed and modern but it's undergoing a development for making this military and effective and modern.
